Adult movie star Teagan says she will no longer perform sex scenes with men.

“I guess at this point in my life, it just felt like the right thing to do,” Teagan told AVN. “With all that’s going on in my personal life, I chose to do it.”

Nearly a quarter of a century later, Deep Throat will return to New York City next week.

The film will open at the Cinema Village at 22 E. 12th Street, NYC, 10003, with sneak previews May 20 and May 21. The porn world will then turn out in mass the following evening with a star-studded, red carpet gala premier. The press is invited to attend those festivities which begin at 8 p.m.

Taking a cue from the media buzz generated by the release of the documentary Inside Deep Throat earlier this year, Arrow owner Ray Pistol has decided to launch a pet project which has been years in the talking stages.

In conjunction with the playing of Deep Throat, Arrow will begin “a worldwide search for the new Linda Lovelace” beginning at the Erotic Expo NY May 19-21 at the Hotel Pennsylvania. The winner will star in a re-make of Deep Throat, the 1972 release that became one of the most commercially successful independent films of all time.

The search for a new Lovelace will be made not only with beauty in mind but also acting ability.

“We’ll have the contestants read scripts and see how their acting is,” Pistol said. “It’ll be like a Miss America contest. But it won’t necessarily be a beauty contest. It won’t necessarily be a Deep Throat contest. It won’t necessarily be a script-reading contest. It’ll be all of the above.”

Pistol indicated the search would continue in June at Arrow’s booth at Erotica L.A., and could run for as long as it takes to determine a winner. Contests will also be conducted in strip clubs.

“We’ll continue with this until I find somebody,” he said. “The winner will be chosen from a group of finalists, much like “American Idol.”
